Social Media Use
It has come to our attention that a fake Mearns Academy TikTok account has been set up by a pupil in S1-S3. The account contains content which is of a bullying nature. If your young person is currently following this account, check with them and ensure they unfollow the account as a matter of urgency. The account has been reported.
Sports Day
Heats will take place on 17th, 18th and 19th May with our Sports Day taking place in Aberdeen Sports Village on 16th June.
Sports Clubs
Sports Clubs are still operating for S1-S3 pupils during study leave.

School uniform
Overall, our move back to full school uniform has gone very well with the vast majority of pupils wearing full school uniform. Tutor teachers have been monitoring uniform this week and logging any pupils who are not wearing it. As a reminder our school uniform is:
- White Shirt
- School Tie (if available as currently being re-designed)
- Black trousers / skirt / shorts (no jeans/leggings or sportswear)
- If a jumper if being worn, black jumper with only small logo
- Black/Brown shoes/trainers

Poetry Event
Well done to all pupils who took part in the Poetry event. The event was a success and the author was full of praise our pupils.
