Mearns Academy School Dress Code
August 24th, 2023 at 7:11 am

The start of our new school year provides an ideal opportunity to focus on our school uniform standards.  A new graphic Uniform has been designed to highlight exactly what our expectations on uniform are.  Uniform is a major part of our school identity and is always viewed positively across our local community.  As well as encouraging a sense of belonging and connection to our school, uniform promotes equity for all young people. Uniform will be monitored daily by staff and recorded during Tutor Time.

Funding streams to support uniform are available.  Please contact mearns.aca@aberdeenshire.gov.uk FAO your young person Guidance Teacher and we will support with this.

Our Mearns Academy Parents Carers (MAPC) also operate a MAPC Uniform Upcycling Shop with blazers, trousers and shirts available.  The MAPC Uniform Upcycling Shop is at reception and is available at all times during Campus opening hours.

Our Health & Leisure Faculty always have spare PE kit available for young people to borrow if required.

Thank you in advance for your support as we continue to build the most positive ethos across our school community.
